Cassandra Clare & Sarah Rees Brennan event in Dublin

150 fans turned out in Dublin on Thursday 16th to meet Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan. Thanks to the staff at Eason Bookshop, O Connell St who staged a great event and kept the shop open until late in the evening to allow everyone meet Cassie and Sarah. Both authors were interviewed for Morning Ireland (RTE Radio) and appeared live on Ireland AM (TV3). Click on photos to enlarge.

Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan will be interviewed by Sinead Crowley for Morning Ireland (RTE Radio 1) on Friday 17th July. Sinead is a fan of Cassandra's City of Bones so expect a great interview.

Patrick Ness has very kindly published a prequel to The Knife of Never Letting Go. It tells the story of Viola's arrival on Todd's planet.

The new cover editions of both City of Bones and City of Ashes are now available. Cassandra Clare will in in Dublin on Thursday 16th July to do an event with Sarah Rees Brennan. There will be press coverage and a pitch has been made to TV3 - Ireland AM

I just got hold of a proof of Kate Di Camillo's next book. The Magician's Elephant. I guarantee all fans of Kate's writing are in for a treat. Where recent titles took the form of Fairy Tale, Magician's Elephant is more Fable.
It will be published in September '09 in hardcover. Many proofs have been sent to Irish booksellers but if you have not received one, please let me know.
Once you have read this it will most certainly be at the top of your recommended list for the Autumn / Winter season.
